What is PainBan™ X4000 ?

PainBan™ X4000 is a brand new pain management device, delivering a totally unique form of therapy. PainBan™ X4000 is unique in a number of ways, because unlike TENS, TSE, Electroacupuncture, Electric shock and other similar methods it does not ''block'' pain signals to the brain via pain gateways. Instead it works in concert with the body''s own bioelectromagnetic ecosystem. PainBan™ X4000 is drug free with no side effects and the unit is hand held and easily portable.

How does PainBan™ X4000 Work?

PainBan™ X4000 uses Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF). Injured or inflamed cells resist the body''s natural electric current, preventing the supply of blood, oxygen and vital nutrients. The PainBan™ X4000 delivers energy fields that use signals similar to the body''s natural waveforms. By agitating these cells, the X4000 stimulates improved circulation, cell activity and lymphatic movements, all of which is beneficial in the relief of pain and other discomforts.

The lower frequencies of PainBan™ X4000 encourage relaxation, pain reduction and enhanced cellular nutrient uptake. The higher frequencies enhance circulation and metabolic function. The electrostatic output level of the X4000 is set to release enkephalin (an endorphin having opiate qualities that occurs in the brain and spinal cord and elsewhere) and endorphins (a neurochemical occurring naturally in the brain and having analgesic properties) which raise pain thresholds and modulate transmission of pain perception as well as repairing and toning muscle tissue.

Is PainBan™ X4000 simple to use?

Yes, PainBan™ X4000 is simply placed against the skin or clothing. PainBan™ can penetrate up to 6cm into the body tissue and can even be used to treat through medical dressings such as plasters and bandages and everyday clothing too!

Does PainBan™ X4000 have any side effects ?

No, this is the beauty of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy - there are no side effects.

Will PainBan™ X4000 hurt in anyway?

No. Using PainBan™ X4000 will not cause any discomfort whatsoever. Sometimes the patient might feel some tingling due to improved circulation but this is no contraindication.

Should I consult my doctor before using PainBan™ X4000?

You should first consult your doctor before using PainBan™ X4000 if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker fitted, suffer epileptic fits or suffer from sever hypertension (high blood pressure) or hypotension (low blood pressure). You should not use directly on the eyes, or over the carotid sinus (upper side of neck, below the ear and behind the jaw).

Do not allow children to use or handle the device.

Avoid operating machinery and driving either during, or after treatment for at least one hour.

What types of pain can PainBan™ X4000 be used to treat?

As well as using PainBan™ X4000 to alleviate pain associated with arthritis, sports injuries, joint pain, tendonitis, swelling, backache and tennis elbow to name but a few, these extremely low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields (ELF-PEMF), have also been proven to be beneficial in bone fracture healing, wound healing, circulation improvement and the reduction of pain-induced stress levels.

How often can I use PainBan™ X4000?

You can use PainBan™ X4000 as often as you like, although it is programmed to deliver treatment in 7-minute cycles. You may repeat and continue as required but we recommend you take a break after 4 continuous treatments. We also recommend you are seated when applying treatment.

Does PainBan™ X4000 contain magnets?

No. PainBan™ X4000 does not contain magnets of any kind. PainBan™ X4000 contains bioelectromagnetic wave heads, empowering the unit to deliver effective pain management through pulsed wave forms (patented).

What is the difference between regular magnets and PainBan™ X4000?

Our body''s natural magnetic field is created by the flow of electrically charged ions in and out of cells and the transmission of electric impulses through cell membranes.

It is the electrical field that promotes healing and health maintenance, not the magnetic field. Magnetic fields simply help focus the electrical field where the magnets are placed.

Static magnets have an effect only as agents for an electric field. If an electric field is not present in sufficient strength, the magnets cannot work.

What approvals does PainBan™ X4000 have?

PainBan™ X4000 has undergone extensive clinical trials and is certified as a class 1 medical device according to the EC council Directive 93/42/EEC. MHRA approval is pending. The product is also protected under Patent Application IE/04/00098. PainBan™ X4000 has also been approved for use by the Complementary Medical Association for general pain management and in conjunction with acupuncture, acupressure and physiotherapy.
